National Gallery Singapore

Five months ago. Took me long enough. The number of backdated posts I have on hand can keep me busy for the next few months. Laziness, tight schedule, and a busy life have kept me away from blogging, and writing excessively for the past few months (work purpose) certainly did not help at all.

National Gallery Singapore is my least favourite museum. Don't get me wrong, the architecture of the building is brilliant, gorgeous even. It's just that the exhibitions itself are rather boring, featuring modern artwork from Singapore and Asia that just don't appeal to me. All along I pretty much prefer historical artifacts such as items from Pompei and ancient Egyptian times. There's more connection between history and the viewer as those items brings you back to the past, allowing you to understand how it feels like to be in the shoes of others.

Anyhow, it's worth a visit to National Gallery Singapore. The place is huge with so many different types of exhibition to visit and yes, you could get lost. Locating that one particular lift that has access to the roof top took ages to find but we finally found it. If only the nearby construction were completed, the view would be better. Beautiful architecture, both the exterior and interior. A fantastic place to take pictures and is it just me or is museum a nice place for a date?
